  • Bill Hosken, Mine Manager & Engineering Coordinator

    Bill Hosken has over 20 years in the mining industry and is a graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines. He has held various positions with both junior and intermediate mining companies as well as contracting companies. His most recent roles prior to Gowest include management of technical services and project management.


  • Even Stavre, Chief Geologist

    Mr. Stavre is a professional geologist, registered in the Province of Ontario, and holds an Honours B.Sc. degree in Geology (Polytechnic University, Alb.)

    He has over 30 years of diversified and progressive geology experience in the exploration and mining industry. Even has held multiple roles in supervision, project management, consulting technical roles for various mining operations, green and brown field exploration programs in North America, Europe, and Mexico. Recently he was the Senior Project Exploration Manager Geologist for Maple Gold Mines in Quebec, where he managed the exploration team in expanding mineral resources for Douay Gold project and Eagle project, part of Agnico Eagle Mines joint venture. He joined Gowest in April 2023 as the Company restarted the Bradshaw Mine.


  • Connor Ranger, Manager of Human Resources, Health, Safety, Training & Security

    Prior to joining Gowest Gold in May 2023, Mr. Ranger was the Superintendent of Human Resources & Community Relations with Argonaut Gold, responsible for all Human Resources, Community and Lodging related matters for the Magino Project in Dubreuilville, Ontario. Before joining Argonaut Gold, Mr. Ranger-Vo was employed at the Harte Gold Sugar Zone Operation now owned and operated by Silver Lake Resources.

    Mr. Ranger spent the majority of his career with Goldcorp, which was then acquired by Newmont, working at the Porcupine Gold Mine (Dome, Hoyle Pond, and Hollinger Pit operations) in Timmins, Ontario before transferring to the Red Lake Gold Mines operation in Red Lake, Ontario, now owned and operated by Evolution Mining.

    Mr. Ranger holds an advanced diploma in Business Accounting and Human Resources from Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology.


  • Cassidy Sabourin, Environmental Technologist

    Prior to joining Gowest Gold in April 2023, Cassidy worked as an environmental technician at IAMGOLD’s Cote Gold Project. Cassidy also worked as an environmental technician at Newmont’s many mine sites located throughout Timmins, with an increased focus on the Hollinger and Hoyle Pond sites. Cassidy is now working closely with third-party organizations to ensure Gowest minimizes its impact on our environment. Cassidy has an advanced environmental technologist diploma as well as a diploma in fish and wildlife studies. Cassidy is passionate about maintaining open lines of communication with our surrounding communities. She looks forward to maintaining an accountable mining mindset with the Gowest Gold’s Bradshaw project with high environmental standards.


  • Kevin Montgomery, Exploration Consultant

    Mr. Montgomery is a professional geologist, registered in the Province of Ontario, and holds an Honours B.Sc. degree in Geology (Queen’s University) and an M.Sc. Applied Mineral Exploration degree (McGill University).

    He has over 35 years of experience in mineral exploration, managing grassroots exploration through to advanced exploration projects.  He has an extensive background in gold, nickel, base metal, and diamond exploration. Mr. Montgomery was Exploration Manager for Gowest Gold Ltd. from 2010 to 2017 during the delineation of the Bradshaw gold resource that led to the underground bulk sample phase. Recently he was the Senior Consulting Geologist for Moneta Gold where he managed the team that expanded the Golden Highway Project gold resources. He rejoined Gowest in March 2023 as the Company restarted the Bradshaw Mine and is focused on helping to expand the gold resources there and elsewhere on the Company’s North Timmins Gold Project.
