Kevin Montgomery, Manager of Exploration

Mr. Montgomery has over 26 years of experience in mineral exploration, including 2 years of underground exploration. He has an extensive background in gold, nickel and diamond exploration. Prior to joining the Gowest exploration team, he worked most recently as a Senior Consulting Geologist for Golden Chalice Resources where he discovered the W4 Langmuir nickel deposit in Timmins. His gold exploration experience in Northern Ontario and Quebec includes work with Sudbury Contact Mines Limited, Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited, Placer Dome Inc. and Gold Fields Canadian Mining Limited. In the late 1990's, he was part of the team that discovered the Victoria Creek gold deposit in Northeast Ontario.

He has a Master's of Science Applied Mineral Exploration degree from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science Geological degree from Queen's University.

Garth Wilcox, Project Development Manager

Mr. Wilcox is a professional engineer with over seventeen years of international mining experience. Most recently, from September 2006 until the company was bought by Argonaut Gold Inc., he worked for Castle Gold Ltd., where he was a key member of the development team that designed, constructed and operated gold heap leach facilities in Guatemala (El Sastre) and Mexico (El Castillo). Mr. Wilcox has extensive project development experience (gold, nickel, molybdenum, copper, zinc) as a process engineer with AMEC and Aker Kvaerner/Davy, as well as experience with JNE Consulting as a supervisor for steel processing facilities to ensure compliance with Ministry of Labour standards. His roles included engineering study development and costing, commissioning and plant operations.

Darren M. Koningen, PEng, Technical Advisor, Project Development

Mr. Koningen is a professional engineer (metallurgy) with over 20 years of international mining experience.

Mr. Koningen is currently an independent metallurgical consultant, managing process development projects, test work and metallurgical studies on behalf of clients. Most recently, he was Vice President of Project Development, and before that, VP-Operations and VP-Engineering for Castle Gold Corp. and Aurogin Resources (prior to its merge with Morgain Minerals to form Castle Gold). Before joining Castle Gold, Mr. Koningen was employed as a Senior Process Engineer (mining) with Kvaerner Engineering. Mr. Koningen's broad international experience in metallurgy process design and operations has allowed him to make significant contributions to bringing two operating and profitable gold mines to production for Castle Gold. Mr. Koningen also serves as a director of Virgin Metals Inc.

Mr. Koningen obtained his Bachelor of Applied Science, Mineral Process Engineering from Queens University in 1990, receiving both the Dean's Gold Medal and the Athlone-Vanier Engineering Fellowship.

Randall Roussain, Project Coordinator – Exploration

Mr. Roussain has spent over 35 years working in the Timmins gold camp with companies such as Canamax and Kinross. He was intimately involved with the discovery of a number of new deposits including the Bell Creek-Marlhill-Vogel deposits with Amax/Canamax and the prized 1060 Zone at Hoyle Pond in Timmins with Kinross which is presently being mined by Goldcorp. Mr. Roussain lead the Kinross geological team involved in the early development and promotion of Kinross in the Timmins camp. He is experienced in all phases of surface exploration and underground work in the development of a mining company.

Angela Falcon, Exploration Geologist

Ms. Angela Falcon is a graduate from the Specialist Program in Environmental Geoscience and Geology at the University of Toronto (2010). During her studies Ms Falcon worked as a geology field researcher, travelling internationally to examine glacial- and volcanically- influenced sedimentary deposits. Additionally, she has travelled extensively throughout Ontario collecting material for geological field guides. Ms Falcon joined Gowest in May 2010 and has since participated in core logging, database management and integration, and geological modelling.
